Jody L. Stahancyk, Chairperson of the Board
Jody Stahancyk is the Senior Shareholder and President of Stahancyk, Kent & Hook, a law firm specializing in divorce, family law, and estate planning. She founded the firm in 1986 and it has grown to include offices throughout Oregon and in Washington. She holds a B.A. from Linfield College (1970), and a J.D. from the University of Oregon (1973). She founded Child Centered Solutions in an effort to provide help and support to families concerned about the welfare of their children.
Laurel P. Hook
Ms. Hook specializes in complex divorce litigation, custody matters and estate planning, and is a member of both the Oregon State Bar and Washington State Bar associations. An alumna of the University of Oregon and Seattle University School of Law, she has been with Stahancyk, Kent & Hook since 1999, being elected a shareholder in 2004.
Mr. Rome, who was raised among family members who worked in financial services, has been exposed to the belief, for decades, that proper financial management, for all people, is a necessity. He is devoted to Child Centered Solutions as he believes children need this guidance, and hopes to help install sound financial management practices in today's youth.
The Honorable Susan M. Svetkey, Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge, has a B.A. from New York University (1971), a M.A. from University of Oregon (1972), and a J.D. from University of Oregon (1977). She has been a member of the Oregon State Bar since 1977, U.S. Supreme Court since 1981, and District Court of Oregon since 1978. Prior to becoming a judge her law practice focused on the representation of children. As a judge she runs the Multnomah County Children's Representation Project.
